OAIR seeks for artists who have an excellent artistic ability and a history of achievements and are willing to interact with our local residents through such events as art workshops.

Invited Artists stay at a residential facility in Ota, Tokyo, create art in studios located in or outside of the facility. Art works created by the invited artists are exhibited at a gallery in the city at the end of the program, and their images will be shown in OAIR’s road show. Engineers or artisans from local industrial factories or artisan studios support invited artists’ creation. Local residents hold various events and welcome invited artists.

The artists to be invited for OAIR 2014 were selected and OAIR’s plans for future calls have not been decided yet.
